Originally from sunny Southern California, I was extremely active while growing up – I was a competitive swimmer for 14 years, from swim lessons in elementary school all the way to a full-ride swimming scholarship to the University of Southern California; fight on Trojans! As an athlete at heart, I have always loved being challenged and pushed out of my comfort zone. And that is how I found Crossfit. My Crossfit journey began in March 2011 and I instantly fell in love with the sport. Crossfit has provided me with more than I could ever imagine, a place where I can be constantly challenged both mentally & physically, a competitive outlet, a community, a family, and a place that has helped me grow into the person I am today.
By day, I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist as well as the owner and operator of A Balanced Life Rx LLC, providing nutrition education and counseling to individuals and groups in my community. My biggest passion is working with youth and families, teaching and empowering them to adopt a healthier lifestyle through a science-based approach. My love and passion for youth has spilled over into Crossfit and that is why I decided to obtain both my CF-L1 and quickly following my CF Kids Certification. I am honored to be a Crossfit Kids coach as I have the opportunity to not only make an impact but to positively shape these kids’ lives and that gives me the goosebumps!
When I’m not busy counseling clients or coaching the CF kids class, you’ll likely find me either swimming, biking, or running as I continue toward my goal of completing an Olympic distance open water triathlon, meal prepping and recipe testing in my beautiful kitchen, or eating all the dark chocolate I can get my hands on while binge watching my favorite Bravo Housewives.
